A definite 5-pointer

– the room is definitely warmer, as you would hope! We have gone down to one small radiator and it is still warmer that it used to be. The key thing is that the room retains heat far better and warms up quicker.

– because the room retains it’s heat we are much more inclined to open the windows and freshen up the place – it seems like the embedded warmth in the walls means that even without heating one, once the windows are shut the room warms up.

– the room used to have mould growing on a few walls where there is little air circulation. This is no longer the case. There was also mould under the plasterboard that was taken down. The absence of this has got to mean better air quality.

– we love the lime plaster finish, the smooth texture and natural colour, and haven’t felt the need to paint it.

– overall it really makes the room feel much cosier and a lovely place to spend time in
